PERFORMANCE COACHING

1:1 Performance Coaching

Really successful performance coaching is about taking the time to understand the whole person; where they are now, where they want to get to and the specifics of what is holding them back. We get to know the individual and build a relationship based on trust, agreeing with them and the business the areas to focus on. We then support people to become excellent managers, outstanding leaders or simply to raise performance through improvements in areas such as personal impact, confidence, communication style or assertiveness to name a few. We’ve helped people in mid-career gain promotion, high potential individuals improve soft skills and senior individuals to more effectively manage pressure. We have a particularly deep understanding of private equity and financial services and what it takes to be successful but our aim is to ensure people in all sectors reach their full potential.

CAREER COACHING

A successful career isn’t just about getting to the top, or making lots of money. A successful career is one that’s fulfilling and rewarding for you as an individual. To help achieve that success we offer career and interview coaching, CV writing and support in your job search for people at every stage of their career. Our approach looks at you as a whole person, not just you in work mode and using a combination of questionnaires and 1:1 time with you, we help you discover your motivations, interests and what you want to achieve. Then we work with you to help you achieve it.

Graduates and teenagers

The Talent Company can help navigate the wealth of choices available when starting out in your career. You may want to understand what types of career your interests and skills would best suit. It may be that you have started down a certain path and are worried it’s too late to change direction. Or you may just not know where to start. We look at who you are – your strengths, passions, motivations and interests – using a variety of tools combined with face to face discussion to help you discover career possibilities that would be fulfilling and rewarding for you. We aim to give you the confidence to choose a path that’s right for you.

Change of career

Realising that your current job isn’t making you happy is unsettling. Whether you have identified your new career and aren’t sure how to get there or you just know you want to do something different but don’t know what that looks like, we can help navigate your way through this transition. Using a combination of questionnaires to look at strengths, skills, aptitudes and values together with a series of 1:1 meetings we form a view of the whole person not just you at work. We help you form ideas of different career possibilities, a realistic set of goals and the steps required to make the transition. It is our role to help you find confidence in your strengths and an attainable path to your career goal that may initially seem out of reach.

Career management

We work with people who are looking to progress their career and reach the next rungs on the career ladder, whether that’s with their current company or by moving elsewhere. Focusing on the end goal – where you want to be longer-term – we help you form a plan to attain it. This could be about planning a career path and making decisions at the right time. Or you might feel there is a ‘blocker’ standing in the way of your progress but can’t identify what it is. Whatever the challenge, The Talent Company can support you in taking control of your career.

How it works

We offer an initial free consultation either face to face or by phone for you to assess whether The Talent Company is the right partner for you. Following this, we would have several 1:1 sessions (normally about four) combined with questionnaires and exercises selected around your specific background and goals which you complete prior to each session. Should you wish to have follow up support or feel you would benefit from further sessions or a CV review, we are happy to arrange that.

​INTERVIEW COACHING

​1 to 1 coaching

The Talent Company has a huge depth and breadth of knowledge in terms of what employers look for and we work with you to find the self-confidence and self-belief to present yourself at your best. You might be at the start of your career with no interview experience at all or an experienced professional who would like support in how best to present themselves. Whatever your situation, the coaching is tailored to you and covers all areas you are concerned about from how to dress to body language challenges such as managing blushing and eye contact. Our advice on how to approach difficult questions is also bespoke to you – we don’t believe in just providing “stock” answers.

RETURN TO WORK COACHING

Returning to work after Maternity / Adoption / Shared Parental Leave

Working with you before, during and after your leave, we help you make a successful return to work and balance career with family.  We work on a variety of areas including how to make part-time work successful, how to manage the logistics of home and work and how to continue building your career.

​Returning to work after a career break

This coaching is specifically designed to build your confidence for a return to the workplace. After examining your strengths / skills / interests and where your values and priorities lie, we will review and broaden your career options, consider how to job hunt in the current market, practice interviewing skills and contemplate the emotions and logistical challenges involved with returning to work.
